[cause using paper towels is just gauch...and expensive!] I also added to my china-pattern with the tacky bamboo motifs...10 pks of Kung-Fu Noodles 
[bestest and CHEAPEST brand with a prawn flavoured seasoning packet and a smelly garlic oil packet as well YUM] ]. and 2 little sauce plates... I spent all of $10 for everything there and then off to my old herboligist and got my Ginseng Tonic Pills and some groceries [jasmine, green,black, assam and oolong tea,
honey, red bbq pork seasoning and some pickled jalapenos] that was about $80... kinda went to town there... then we j-walked across the busy Hastings Street into the OLVALTINE CAFE for lunch... Check out the sign that says "All Day Breakfast Special $3.50" SERIOUSLY the best deal in town... so we scarfed that down and strolled down Hastings Street to the Army & Navy passing all sorts of wild places.... The old hooker hotels [Balmoral, Washington and the NEWLY RENOVATE Pennsylvania Hotel, which I am not sure what it is now, hotel or apt] past the INSITE INJECTION SITE 
where addicts can shoot up with medical supervision, 
controversial BUT NECESSARY to stop diseases... past a "community garden" then to the ol' AMSTERDAM CAFE and Mark Emery's HQ... MY HERO! Theres a "VAPOR LOUNGE" and a "smokers cafe" plus a bong shop. Cool... when we left we walked right thru a fuckin' ANTI-SCIENTOLOGY Rally [boo hiss L.RON] and had a few laughs outside Tom Cruises place... LOL they were on both sides of the streets,wearing devil masks, handing out propaganda and carring plackards reading "Scientolofy Kills" And "L.Ron Hubbard, we want our families back" Creepy... When I was living in L.A. in the early 1980's I spent a summer living at Zuma Beach in a tent [BITCHINEST SUMMER I EVER HAD] and I met a couple HIDING from Scientology and there henchmen. They were in my tent , under my sleeping bags, when 3 goons in zoot-suits came around asking for them.... I played dumb....THEY LOOKED LIKE THEY MEANT BUSINESS... Anyhoo, the couple told me horror stories about it. Yikes... so after the rally 
we got on the '#6 Davie' bus and back home to the crib. Man, that was a GOOD DAY... I 've been having so many of those lately... Hmmmmm tomorrow I'm supposta go to the Top-O-The-Towe Lounge at Harbour Centre with Marc. He wants to see what it's like up there when it's foggie...and dark... OOOOOOOO how romantic... gonna be bloggin' about THAT , fer sure. OK...I'm off to shower and then up to the rooftop for coffee with Brentage. Tough life....
