Hmmm.... That sick feeling that comes with self awareness...  NOT MINE... everyone elses!  LOL  It seems everybody in my life right now is learning things the HARD WAY... especially about me....   My boy Insabear got a jolt of reality with my internet friends coming to my defense.  THANK YOU HOLLY for your sensative and wise email to him... That shook the cob-webs loose.... and THANK YOU LADY WOLFEN MISTS for driving the point home...  not only is the internet so NOT the place for that kind of venting of misplaced anger... but anyone with respect for the art of blogging and the people  who love it know this.  and your terse yet loving delivery was right on the mark... IT WAS just what the doctor ordered...Your support was beautiful and overwhelming...and everyone else.  TODAY... I feel strong and back on track... I am NOT gonna let any of these issues bring me down... NOT EVEN THIS:

Apparently my nephews Obituary had a glaring omition...ME!   apparently they FORGOT[as if] to mention the only person in his life had any respect for him...or really knew him...  They mentioned aunts and uncles and inlaws that have never even see him before... and of course, their livestock.  I had to laugh....  And and they [ my sister and niece] trashed me to the guests at the hall after the funeral...  It is SUCH a sorry state of affairs... to disrespect MITCH so blatantly and use his memorial as a platform for hate is reprehensable...  What TOTAL cunts...   this is a classic example of a woman whose chronic alcoholicism knows NO bounds...  inappropriate behaviors at times when discretion and tact are essential...  She made a TOTAL ASS OF HERSELF... I'm glad I missed it...  On that day I walked the path Mitch and I did when he came back... Down GRANVILLE STREET where all the tattoo/headshops and pornoshops are... Where he got his tattoo.  and then down the sea-wall thru English Bay and Stranley Park...   I did cry a bit...  but not sad tears...  I KNOW his dream was to some see his favorite uncle in Vancouver and get a tatt ... smoke a dube  and chill at my crib with a bottle of Wild Turkey... I KNOW he shouldn't have been doing any on those things with  his heart transplant...  BUT HE HAD TO LIVE HIS LIFE..  he knew his days were ALWAYS numbered...and he really did live his life the way he wanted... he had great friends...  unfortunately he had family drowning in alcoholism and abuse...  a mother so selfish it is beyond words...  a sister who thought she was his mother [of course, felt the need to step in as my sister was plastered all the time] and all that creeped him out...  and to add insult to injury they had him creamated BEFORE the could do any autopsy or analysis of what the actual cause of death was... We will never know... again, my sisters selfishness and deniles of his life choices,  rear they're ugly head.  Tragic...  and my sister also JUST had her surgery for an intestine reattachment...she's been carrying around a shit-bag for 2 years now...  talk about boomerang-karma.  I don't have to do ANYTHING but sit back and watch the whole plie of poop collaps under it's own sheer bulk.  Funny... tho...weird...  Today I feel so loved....  Insa got religion and I feel a total 180 degree change.  still lots to work on but I do not doubt his love for me...  and my best friend Brentage, always there, supporting me in anything I do... Never wavering...  I thank GOD for everything I have... and I KNOW my nephew loved me UNCONDITIONALLY... I came out to him and he embraced me 100%...  SO...Guys....and Ladies..  don't worry about old Shawno the GAYCANUCK...I'm just fine and will bounce back good as new... like I always do...  It takes a lot more to bring me down than my loser family...
              

 
 
So tomorrow I have my last surgery on my lung...  It is a re-inflation due to a collaps during my unfortunate bout of viral pneumonia...and influenza...and varacella zoster..and...and...and... adn it will be full of gel [ i think] and that should help increase the air-flow...  I have been waiting 6 months for this surgery..  They call it ELECTIVE...  so you wait and wait and wait.  But we do have universal healthcare {cheap}... and the meds I was on last year cost over $3200 a month... NO SHIT!  covered...and my month long hospital stay {about 60,000 freakin' grand} covered...  if I lived ANYWHERE on the planet I would have been in the poor house. so I REALLY don't mind the wait... I am a  bit nervous. ...The best $36 a month I ever spent tho... LOL  THANK YOU CANADA!
          
Still workin' on my nekked blog format and looking for a DVD camera... I kinda got sidetracked by all this trauma-drama...  I am excited about my new server and their interest in me after reading my blather...  I also got an award from someone ...from somewhere.. I guess it has SOMETHING to do with my blog or website... or both...  It just came with a short note...  saying they enjoyed "my place" and visit it often...  I may post it... It;'s kinda cute.. I am also gonna research it to see where it came from...as it has no return address [???!!] may put it on sometime when I need an ego boost... LMFAO!  Like I need THAT!
        
                                                 


 
 
  
I shop locally here in the village and I like the variety of stores, restaurants and services available just steps from MY door.  I like the Valley Grocery on Bute.  Davie Street has 2 bakerys each having their own strengths and weaknesses.  Sweet Success has literally the BEST DONUTS in town [when fresh]  BUT... MAPLE LEAF BAKERY has superb breads. The caraway rye is to die for.  The spicy chicken rolls are addictive too.  Shoppers Drug Mart is open 27/7 and has a small grocery area with some good deals.  Magic Dollar Store is my favorite $ store on the block.  Nice people run it.  As for restaurants the Davie Village Cafe for breakfast, hands down...  Downtown Sushi has a great bento box [6 california rolls/teryaki chicken or beef/rice/tempura/salad/tea] ~$8... BUT the service blows. A GREAT deal for Korean Bar-b-q is at Robson Public Market... $3.75 chicken teryakiand $2 gyoza  can't beat it... I have been eating there for over 15 years... Nice family business.  As far as bars go the Pumpjack is the place to go any time... day or night. Dance your ass off at Celebrity... All on Davie.  Living well in the West End of Vancouver is a real challenge. Over the past 15 years of living here I have managed to find a lot of hidden gems just waiting to be discovered. If you're in town, hit me up for a coffee [a TIM HORTONS "large double/double" consumed at the beach]  I'm always "up" for it...LOL
