Well gang... IT RAINED ON OUR PARADE!   LOL  But only as far as the weather was concerned.  The day was great fun.  HUGO and I got to the Chinese Garden about 11:30am and we waited around for cutie Albert to meet us there... We stood right arcoss the street from it. He never showed.  I think he may have been scared off by the inclement weather... but nothing was stopping HUGO and ME from enjoying the lively entertainments...  Tho the weather was cold and miserable, but the crowd was warm and hospitable and ready for a celebration.  The parade started with the usual diplay of POLICE PRESENCE with 3 of "our finest" leading the show... DEAD SILENCE...  then the fire crackers started poppin' and so did the parade.  Lots of bands and benevolent clubs to start with and then many a dancing dragon to follow, some with "condoms" on their heads.  LOL  I guess the paper they are made of disintigrates with moisture.  There were people passing out the traditional red envelopes filled with candies, coupons and business cards.  ALL THE POLITICIAN took this as a way to spread their porpaganda via a red letter.  Tacky.  And there were some TV celebs also schlepping their wares.  Got an enveolpe iwth some lovely cadies in it from Dr. Rhonda Lo of CTV News... and Miss Pamela Martin scurried thru the parade route EMPTY HANDED... BITCH... BUTT,  our  NEW MAYOR  was dressed in red silked finery tho I couldn't get a clear shot of him thru the grards and paparazzi... it was a hoot.  and speaking of which some dude from a Chinese cable-access channel stood and shot video of HUGO and ME for about 5 minutes ????  So I took a picture of HIM taking pics of US... Not sure what THAT was about except us being the 2 LOUDEST and ENTHUIASTIC FAGS IN THE CROWD...  this year more non-Chinese people enjoying it.  I like to see that.  I'm ALL for MULTI-CULTURALISM as long as it is kept on this scale.  PARTY  PARTY  PARTY!  And after the parade was over we went for a lovely lunch at our little burger joint on Granville.  Another fun day with HUGO.  Gawd I love hangin' out with him.  We always have so much fun.  I took as many pics as I could UNTIL MY CAMERA RAN OUTTA BATTERY POWER... Ooops.  anyway I only missed the final float.  Now I am off to have anice LOOOOOONG  HOT bubblebath to warm up after a day of rain  then snow  then rain/snow.... BRRRRRRRR  chilled to the bone I am.  S   PS  SORRY HOLLY I MISSED YOUR CAMPER LIVE SHOW... RATS!  I was busy making merry... gonna check it out now and see what you've been up to... I'LL NEVER NEVER MISS ANOTHER SHOW....I PROMISE  I PROMISE... [excluding parades and work sweetie LOL ]
